Adriel Wong
Adriel is a drummer hailing from Malaysia. Growing up, he would be part of many musical related activities. From playing in church to interschool band competitions to music festivals. He graduated from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2018 with a Bachelors in music. Being an alumnus of the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Adriel has received training and exposure to both classical and contemporary orchestral music as well. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he actively pursues his fulltime music career by engaging in projects with musicians locally and abroad, mostly as a jazz drummer. He is currently the drummer for WVC Jazz Ensemble, Kangkung Belacan, The Frozen Mugs and The Shang Sisters. Some notable local Malaysian as well as international artists Adriel has had the pleasure of working with include Hakan Rydin, Tay Cher Siang, Michael Veerapan, Yuna, Lenny Ooi, Janet Lee, Winnie Ho, Gabrielle Stravelli, Patrick O’Leary, Yuki Arimasa, Chi-Pin Hsieh, Kai-Ya Chang, Seiichi Fukuyama, Eddin Khoo and AJ ‘popshuvit’. He is endorsed as Canopus artist recently.
